    About Us

    Community-Built, Community-Supported

Brackendale Bug Screens is a network of local tradespeople, small businesses, and independent entrepreneurs working together to build high-quality screens and doors for local homes.

    We're Not a Big Corporation

When you hire us, you're supporting a whole ecosystem of local people and local companies, not just one business. Your money stays in the community, circulating among 10–15 local people across multiple small businesses.

    How We Work

Every step of your project supports local businesses and tradespeople

    STEP 1

    Local Estimators

Every job starts with a local independent estimator. These are real tradespeople, not call-centre staff — people building their own small businesses right here in the community.

    STEP 2

    Canadian-Made Materials

All of our components come from Canadian-owned, Canadian-operated manufacturers. Your purchase supports Canadian jobs and keeps supply chains inside the country.

    STEP 3

    Local Procurement

Your materials are sourced and delivered by a local procurement specialist based in Whistler. This keeps transportation and coordination within the local economy.

    STEP 4

    Community Builders at CreateMakerSpace

Your screens and doors are custom-built by independent fabricators working out of CreateMakerSpace in the Squamish Industrial Area. CreateMakerSpace is a community workshop that supports dozens of small entrepreneurs by giving them space, tools, and the ability to earn fair wages without needing a full shop of their own.

    STEP 5

    Local Installers

Your installation is completed by local installation companies — from hybrid installers like Widar Innovations to dedicated door-only and window-only specialists. All are small operators who live in the Sea-to-Sky and take pride in fair pricing and quality work.

    STEP 6

    Local Support Services

Behind the scenes, your purchase supports even more local professionals: bookkeepers, accountants, graphic designers, print shops, 1–4 flyer delivery workers every month, seasonal helpers, and our own admin team handling scheduling, communication, and warranty work.
